Welcome to your second trimester! Those early pregnancy symptoms that have been driving you crazy should now start to ease up. When you’re 14 weeks pregnant, you’ll be close to feeling your little one moving (they are moving a lot but they are still so little you may not be able to feel it). During this week, your baby will become more proportional; with their body beginning to grow more than their head.
Hair is big news this week! Your baby is growing lots of it, not only in the usual places such as their head, brows and eyelashes but all over their small body. This thin, peach-fuzz-like hair is called lanugo which keeps your baby warm. As fat accumulates later on in your pregnancy (the baby’s fat, not yours) it will take over the function of keeping your baby toasty & warm and the lanugo will shed before the birth.
