Week 5

Your baby (now called an embryo) doesn’t look like much more than a tadpole right now, but at five weeks, he or she is already starting to form major organs (heart, stomach, liver & kidneys) and systems (digestive, circulatory & nervous). Just to be clear, there won’t be a frog in your future; your tadpole will soon become a real prince (or princess) that you’ll be holding in your arms in roughly 8 months. While the hCG hormone levels in your body are now high enough to confirm that you’re pregnant using a home pregnancy test, you can also expect some symptoms like sore boobs, some nausea and even tiredness.
