      Ingredients

      • 200g minced beef
      • 2 medium onions, finely chopped
      • 420g tinned, chopped tomatoes
      • 180–240g mushrooms (optional)
      • 1 tbsp tomato purée
      • tsp mixed herbs
      • 2 tbsp cooking oil
      • Spaghetti

      Method

      1. Chop the onions and mushrooms.
      2. Heat the oil and fry onions with herbs until tender.
      3. Add minced beef and stir until the meat has turned a light brown colour. Always wash your hands and utensils after handling raw mince
      4. Add chopped tomatoes, tomato purée and chopped mushrooms.
      5. Stir until thoroughly mixed, cover and simmer on a low heat for approximately 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
      6. Cook the spaghetti according to the packet instructions.
      7. Blend or mash to the desired consistency.  You can use some of your baby's usual milk to get a more runny consistency.
